Texas Shootout
If you were watching March Madness all weekend you missed a wild and windy tournament in San Antonio. So windy in fact Tour eternal optimist, Matt Kuchar muttered, "I'm just glad to be done," after his opening round. When all the dust settled it came down to two Texas natives, Jimmy Walker and Jordan Spieth going blow for blow on Sunday. In the end, Jimmy's consistency was too much for Spieth. I wouldn't be surprised to see these two battling it out in a couple weeks for a green jacket. Tweet of the week goes to Jimmy's wife on the drive home from the event.

In unrelated news, Tiger has officially fallen out of the top 100 rankings.
Golf Game for Life
We take ourselves too seriously. For most of us golf is a game to be enjoyed with friends and family. Our dreams of playing on Tour are not likely to happen any time soon. Getting frustrated and angry over a poor shot happens, but in the scheme of things it doesn't matter. My 3 year old granddaughter doesn't care if I made my birdie putt on the last hole to break 90. Frankly, five minutes after the round, I don't either. Take a look at this video from Ida, she seems to have things figured out.
